New Alumni Website to Launch
A new website for the UofL Alumni Association will go live on Tuesday, August 12. It’s the latest phase of an overall rebranding effort taking place this year. The new site will feature a responsive design that renders appropriately for desktop, tablet, and mobile viewing.
“This project is all about providing a better online experience for our alumni,” said James Barnard, director of advancement communications at UofL. “Our old site was outdated and not user friendly, so the timing was right to invest in a new design.”
Another new feature on the website will be Deb’s Blog, a regularly updated news feed written by executive director of the Alumni Association, Deborah Dietzler. She will use the space spotlight alumni achievements and announcements on a daily basis.
As well as providing information on events, news, and alumni programming, users will also be able to log in to an online community and update their biographical information.
UofLalumni.org will be offline during business hours on Monday, August 11, while the new site is rolled out. This will mean the donation forms and event registration pages will also be unavailable during that time.
