Donna Moser Peak '77, '84

Donna Moser Peak received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1977 and her Master of Business Administration in 1984, both from the University of Louisville. She has established the Donna Moser Peak Fund at the University of Louisville Libraries in Archives and Special Collections. Peak also completed a Certified Government Financial Manager Program, the Senior Executive Program at Columbia University, and a Human Resources Executive Program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Peak is a retired Vice President and Financial Controller with the United States Postal Service in Washington, D.C. She served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of a multi-million-dollar fund for the Universal Postal Union to improve postal services in developing countries. She chaired seminars on Postal Financial Services in Latin American and African regions. She also led a delegation to China to teach United States Postal Service Finance practices to China Post Finance Managers. Peak served in various positions during her career with the Postal Service including, Compensation Manager, Great Lakes Area Finance Manager, Payroll Accounting Manager, and Field Operations Controller in Louisville, Kentucky. As the first woman in many jobs, she coached and encouraged other women in government, actively participating and speaking at career development conferences.

Peak is the recipient of numerous United States Postal Service and government awards including Controllers Lifetime Achievement Award, Shared Services Leader of the Year Award, Government Women’s Visionary Award, Board of Governor’s Award, Postmaster General’s Award, Award for Excellence, Louisville Division Award, and Postal Executive Special Achievement Award.

Peak is currently serving as Chair of the Board of the Louisville Federal Credit Union and has served on many boards in the Louisville area.

Donna resides in Louisville, Kentucky. She has two sons, Jim, and the late, David Carl.
