Scott McReynolds '86


Scott R. McReynolds received his Bachelor of Science with a double major in Applied Science and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville in 1986.

McReynolds is a co-founder of MHS. He held the position of Chief Operating Officer for 20 years prior to stepping into his current role as President and Chief Executive Officer. MHS was founded in 1999 by McReynolds, Gregory Judge and Tony Mouser. The company, based in Mt. Washington, Kentucky, employs over 2,000 worldwide. MHS, the ninth largest material handling company worldwide, is as a single-source provider of automated material handling automation and software solutions.

Together, McReynolds, Judge and Mouser grew MHS into a nearly $1.5 billion enterprise that counts among its customers some of the world’s largest logistics providers and e-commerce retailers. In 2017, MHS’s three co-founders established MHS Europe. Also in 2017, the trio led MHS to a recapitalization in partnership with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. followed by a series of acquisitions that expanded the company’s global footprint, capabilities and product and service lines. MHS has been a significant contributor to the Speed School, the City of Louisville, and the State of Kentucky.

Scott and his wife, Jennifer, also a University of Louisville graduate, reside in the Louisville area.
