Caring for others through medicine has always been a priority for Dr. Angela Casey ’03, a double-board certified dermatologist and micrographic dermatologic surgeon in Columbus, Ohio.

“From a young age, I was drawn to medicine because it affords the opportunity to make a difference in others’ lives,” said Casey. “We are so lucky to use our skills and knowledge to help others, and I have the privilege of caring for patients each day in my practice.”

When making her college decision, the Louisville native realized that the University of Louisville would be the best environment for her to attend medical school. “UofL instilled an unending curiosity and love of learning in me,” said Casey. “I think back to how much I learned over my four years at UofL and how that set a solid foundation for my career in dermatology.”

Embracing a healthy lifestyle through dermatology is important to Casey, inspiring her to help others prevent skin cancer and damage before it’s too late. That’s why she launched her youth-focused skincare line, Bright Girl, with the goal of providing tools and education to young girls so they can achieve their healthiest skin.

Bright Girl is a skincare brand that incorporates clinically-backed, clean ingredients for young people to stay consistent with their skincare routines. Her brand has allowed her to broaden her audience with the goal of emboldening young people every time they use one of her products.

“When you have an idea, a vision, and a passion for helping others, there is a limitless energy that fuels your dream and eventually makes it a reality.”
