The inaugural piano festival and competition will be held Nov. 9 and 10 at University of Louisville's School of Music. This two-day piano event features masterclasses, individual lessons, a piano competition, seminars, lectures, a faculty recital, and performance opportunities for students.
The festival is supported in part through the generous contribution from the Elizabeth Lee Huang '63, '63 Piano Endowment. Consider making a gift to this endowment to further its impact.

Festival
The piano festival will present masterclasses and individual lessons by faculty members. All masterclasses are open to the public. The festival and masterclasses are open to all piano students (pre-collegiate and collegiate level).
Cost:
$75 if registered before Oct. 1
$100 after Oct. 1
Competition
The competition is open to pianists aged 14-18, who are not currently enrolled in college. Application deadline, including pre-selection video, is Oct. 1.
Notification of acceptance will be made by Oct. 8.
Pre-selection video can be sent with the application via unlisted YouTube link or Vimeo.
Cost:
$75 application fee
*Students are required to register for the piano festival in order to participate in the competition.
Live Round Repertoire
10-15 minutes of music from at least two different styles from the following:
- Baroque
- Classical
- Romantic
- 20th and 21st Century
*Prepared piano works and unpublished pieces are NOT allowed. With the exception of the 20th/2st Century pieces, all works must be memorized.
